Pump.fun referral code not working? Reasons and fixes

If your pump fun referral code didn't work, it's almost always one of the reasons below. Some can be fixed; some can't, because the terms tie the match to your first in-app purchase.

Checklist: why a pump.fun referral code doesn't attach

  1. You bought before entering the code. The code must be applied in the mobile app before your first Apple Pay or card purchase. This can't be fixed afterwards for the match.
  2. You only opened a link. Opening a referral link doesn't attach the code by itself. Enter pumpbonus in the app.
  3. You're not a new user. You must have started using pump.fun on or after Oct 7, 2026, and never received the match before on any wallet, device or identity.
  4. You funded by transfer. Crypto sent from an exchange or another wallet isn't a qualifying deposit. Only an in-app purchase through a payment provider counts.
  5. Different device or wallet. Use the same wallet for the code, the purchase and your trades.
  6. Your location. The UK and some other territories are excluded, and VPNs aren't allowed. See eligible countries.
  7. The program changed or its budget ran out. pump.fun can end or change it at any time.

The code worked but I haven't been paid

The right order, step by step

  1. Download the app

    Install the pump.fun mobile app from the App Store or Google Play. The match is for new users only.

  2. Enter code pumpbonus

    Apply the referral code in the app before your first Apple Pay or card purchase.Do this first

  3. Make your first purchase

    Buy with Apple Pay or card inside the app. Your match equals that purchase, up to $50.

  4. Trade on 5 separate days

    Trade on 5 different days within 10 days of your purchase. The match unlocks a little each day.

Why didn't my pump.fun referral code work?

The most common reasons: the code was added after your first purchase, you'd used pump.fun before the program began, you funded your wallet by transfer instead of an in-app purchase, or you're in an excluded country.

Can I add a referral code after my first purchase?

Not for the deposit match. The code must be applied in the mobile app before your first purchase through an in-app payment provider.

Can existing pump.fun users use a code?

No. The program is only for new users who start on or after the program began and apply a code before their first in-app purchase.

Does sending crypto from another wallet count?

No. Only your first purchase through an in-app provider like Apple Pay or card counts. Transfers from exchanges or other wallets don't qualify.

How long do installments take to arrive?

The terms don't promise a time. Each installment is credited after pump.fun's review and can be delayed, up to the end of the 10-day window or longer.

Who do I contact if my reward is missing?

pump.fun support, via the link on the pump.fun homepage. This guide can't see or change your account.
